SITUATION
Michelcombe is a tiny farming hamlet in a hidden valley between the villages of Holne and Scorriton, on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park.

Long Barn is set back off a quiet, no- through lane, with wonderful walking and riding on the doorstep. Holne and Scorriton have traditional country pubs and the town of Ashburton, with its excellent range of shops and amenities, is an easy 15 minutes car journey. Ashburton is also where the A38 can be accessed providing a quick link to the cities of Exeter and Plymouth.

DESCRIPTION
Long Barn is a stunning stone barn conversion on the site of a longhouse dating from the 16th century, and now a Grade II* Listed building. It has been sympathetically brought back to life over recent years by the present owner, who has created an atmospheric, one-off home full of character and warmth.

Beneath its fine thatch roof, it features bespoke oak carpentry, slate and timber floors (underfloor heating to the ground floor), original ceiling beams and exposed A-frame timbers.

The adjoining Shippon/Hayloft is a wonderful space over two connecting floors.

A separate detached single-storey building within the grounds provides modern two bedroom ancillary accommodation, and there is a deatched stone barn with conversion potential, subject to the required consents.

The magnificent gardens and grounds, with sweeping lawns, landscaped terraces and a small moorland river, really do provide a wonderful setting for Long Barn.
