Morningside occupies an exceptional position, off a private drive, just below the moor at Haytor Down on the south eastern slopes of Dartmoor.

It enjoys some truly outstanding views over South Devon, with Teignmouth and Lyme Bay on the far horizon, and the Moor and Haytor Rocks to the west.

The accommodation includes a particularly impressive main lounge with multi-fuel burner, three sets of patio doors, allowing unobstructed access to the previously mentioned views, and leading to a sun terrace with hot tub ideal for al fresco dining/entertaining. The reception hall, study/office and ground floor bedroom all have insulated engineered oak floors.

PV panels over the garage and utility provide a useful income from the feed-in tariff and greatly reduced electricity charges.

The gardens provide a private setting for the house, and there is plenty of parking on the gated gravelled drive. Walks are easily accessible from the property to quiet parts of the Moor and within the neighbouring lanes.

Haytor lies around 3.5 miles from Bovey Tracey and about 8 miles from the market town of Newton Abbot. The A38 Expressway is less than ten minutes drive away and links the two cities of Plymouth and Exeter, where the road joins the motorway network.

There is a good choice of schools available in the area including Ilsington village primary and Stover independent school. There are a number of hotels, restaurants, bars and a health club a short distance from the property.
