Summer Court is situated within the small Devon hamlet of South Knighton, around three miles west of the market town of Newton Abbot. Whilst undoubtedly quiet and rural it is readily accessible and enjoys good access to road networks including the A38 for Exeter/Plymouth and the South Devon link road for Torbay. The rugged landscape of Dartmoor is fifteen minutes by car and the coast at Teignmouth and Torbay less than half an hour.

Summer court was built in the late 1960s and is for the most part on one level, yet raised up to enjoy views of the garden and neighbouring countryside.

Our clients acquired the property around 17 years ago from the original owners and during this time have re-modelled and refurbished throughout.

The accommodation has lots of windows (double glazed) providing plenty of natural light and taking in the previously mentioned views.

There is a large family room at the lower ground floor level which, with the utility room, bedroom and shower room above, could easily create a self-contained annexe if required.

The gardens are a real feature and are divided into two distinct areas, including wide expanses of lawn, beautiful shrubs and trees, and much privacy – particularly within the larger rear garden.

Summer Court is set back from the lane and is approached via a driveway, the first part of which is shared with four neighbouring properties. There are two large integral garages/workshops beneath the property itself and two smaller detached garages at the start of the drive.
