Stretchford is situated off the A384 two miles south east of Buckfastleigh in the valley of the River Dart.

Dartington, and the Rudolf Steiner School, is just a little further along the road and Riverford Organic Farm Shop and Field Restaurant is a two minute drive.

The immediate surrounding area consists of rolling countryside with patchwork of fields and wooded hillsides.

Buckfastleigh has a small range of shops and amenities and is where the A38 can be accessed for Plymouth (30 minutes) and Exeter (40 minutes).

The larger towns of Ashburton (4.5 miles) and Totnes (3.5 miles) each have a wide range of shops and facilities including a mainline railway station at Totnes.

Lower Stretchford Cottage is an interesting property which forms part of a former farmhouse divided sometime ago to create three spacious dwellings.

The accommodation has a bright and sunny aspect with large windows. There are bedrooms on the ground and upper floors with a flexible layout which lends itself to an extended family or perhaps someone wishing to generate an income from Airbnb or similar. Many of the rooms take in the lovely countryside views and the South Devon Steam Railway can be seen winding its way through the landscape.

Outside, the property has a lovely well stocked garden with organic growing area, various spaces for outdoor entertaining and a wooded hut/studio building.

Take the Buckfastleigh Dart Bridge exit off the A38 and join the A384 towards Totnes. The entrance to Stretchford will be found on the right after two miles. Follow the drive to the furthermost point and this is the parking area for Lower Stretchford Cottage.
